A door order is the list of door rows in Door Design: each row is a model, size and quantity. The order carries the customer header, total m² and price; rows are laid out on sheets and go into production as G-code, a cut list and labels.

Short answer

Open the Door Order panel with File › Order on the ribbon and type the Customer, Project and Mobile. Totals appear at the top of the panel. For production, press Production › Nesting; the cut list and barcoded labels are in the same group.

The Door Order panel

The Order section of the panel has the Customer, Project and Mobile fields. Below them are the summary boxes: Total m², Pattern, Material, Hardware, Machining (minutes) and Grand total. An item that is not included in the quote appears faded with the “(not quoted)” note. Each row shows the door’s small drawing, model, size and price; pressing a row selects the door. Add rows with New door at the bottom.

To empty the order and start with a new number, press File › New order; this can be undone.

Taking from the project

  1. After drawing the cabinets in the room, press Project › Import from project in Door Design.
  2. In the Take doors from project window, choose the model to apply on the Model row.
  3. Tick the doors; each row shows height × width, role and hinge side. Doors taken before come unticked with the “already in order” note.
  4. Press “Add … doors” at the bottom.

Excel and printing

  • Import from Excel. Takes a part list from an Excel or CSV file; the file has columns such as Model, Height, Width and Qty.
  • Export to Excel. The door list and prices download as an .xlsx file.
  • CSV. The door list downloads as a .csv file that opens with Excel’s Turkish locale settings.
  • Print. Opens the order form with drawings and prices in the print dialog; you can also save a PDF from there.

Sending to production

  1. Press Production › Nesting; Nesting Settings opens with the door rows only.
  2. Press Run Nesting. Get the G-code from Nesting Results just like in the room; details are on the Generating G-code page.
  3. Production › Cutting list opens the doors’ cut list, and Production › Labels opens the Code 39 barcoded labels.

Cuts inside the pattern (such as a glass cut-out) are machined according to the inner cut setting; see Sizing and inner cuts.

Door Settings

Production › Settings opens the Door Settings window. The settings are stored on this computer and used for door orders in all projects:

  • Pricing. Default price per m², Hourly rate, Cutter change (min), Idle movement allowance, Time factor; the items included in the quote (Labor, Material, Hinge, Handle, Screw).
  • Hardware. Hinge, handle and screw records; unit price and hole pattern.
  • Rules. Handle height by role, hinge steps, and model or frame rules by size.
  • Order. Default width, Default height, Drawer joint gap, Assign hardware automatically by door, Last order number.
  • Tools. The cutters for door patterns.
Tip: The Machining minutes in the summary are estimated from the pattern’s toolpaths. Set the Hourly rate and Time factor for your own machine and compare an order’s estimated time with the real time.

Frequently asked questions

The pattern amount is the door’s m² times the price per m²; if a price per m² is entered on the door, that is used, otherwise the model’s price or the Default price per m². Material comes from the board’s price per m², hardware from the items’ unit prices. The row amount is multiplied by the quantity. You choose which items go into the quote under Door Settings › Pricing.

Yes. In the trial, G-code or DXF output of doors also counts toward the total allowance of 10 sheets.
