NewsNew: Door and Entry Door design screens are complete

Plans and licensing5

There is no feature difference; everything is unlocked in both. The 1-Year Plan renews every year; the Lifetime Plan is a perpetual license with no renewal. Prices: 1-Year Plan $299 per year, Lifetime Plan $1,249 one-time payment.

Yes. In both the 1-Year Plan and the Lifetime Plan, every feature is unlocked, including drawing, cut lists, nesting, G-code, labels, hardware and costing. The plans differ only in license term.

When the term ends, the program opens with the “Your license has expired” window and cannot be used until the license is renewed; your projects stay on your computer without being deleted. When you renew, you enter the codes we send in this window and pick up where you left off.

Yes. A license is activated per computer: each computer gets its own activation code. Tell us how many computers you will use and we will prepare an offer for your situation.

The 7-day free trial starts on its own the first time you open the program; every feature is unlocked, the days left are shown at the bottom right, and the internet is needed on first launch. When the trial ends, the program does not open until a license is entered; your projects stay on your computer.

Installation and system7

moducut runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers. The easiest way to check is the 7-day free trial on your own computer; if you like, we connect remotely and install it with you.

The interface and support are in English. The video tutorials have English titles and descriptions, and we can walk you through your first project remotely.

moducut is a desktop program that runs only on Windows; it installs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. It does not run on a Mac, a tablet, a phone or in a browser.

You can install it yourself in a few minutes by opening the installer and following the wizard. If you like, we connect remotely and do the installation and first settings with you.

Yes. After the first launch, drawing and production outputs work offline. You need to connect the computer to the internet now and then so the license can be verified; if you stay offline for a long time, the program asks you to connect and press “Try again”.

When a new version is released, a “New version” bar appears at the top while the program is open. Press “Install now” and the version is downloaded and installed and the program reopens; your work comes back where you left it.

Projects are saved to your computer automatically; for a backup, save each project as an .mbz file with Save and copy it to another drive or the cloud. You can also find the folder holding your settings and libraries with “Open folder” under Settings › Data on the start screen, and copy it too.

Drawing5

Yes. Base, wall, tall and wardrobe modules come ready in the library; build a bathroom cabinet, hallway unit or TV wall at your own size with Draw Module and save it to your library. Cut lists, hardware and costs come out the same way for all of them.

Most programs stop at the drawing. moducut produces the cut list, nesting, G-code, part labels, hardware list and quote from the same project; no separate CAM program or manual transfer needed.

No. Besides base, wall and tall cabinets, wardrobe modules come ready in the library; for a walk-in closet, bathroom or TV unit, you build your own module with Draw Module and save it to your own category in the library.

Yes. Right-click the module and type the width, height and depth in millimeters under Properties; you can also click a dimension label in the 3D view to change it. The cut list updates to the new size right away.

Yes, since version 3.0.3. Under Module Options › Carcass › Curved Edge, you make the cabinet’s left or right front corner curved with the radius you want. The curved side is cut as one piece and bent with kerfs cut into its inner face; the panels come out radiused at that corner. For now, curves are only on the front corners.

Production and CNC5

moducut writes G-code with the post settings of the machine you pick from the machine list; Biesse profiles output CIX programs, and you can export sheets as DXF for your CAM program. If your machine is not on the list, message us and we will prepare its profile with you.

Yes. You get the cut list as Excel, CSV or a printable list and send it to your cutting service; there is also barcoded CSV and XML output for panel saw software. You print part labels and the hardware list from the same project too.

Yes. The Kerf in Nesting Settings is left between two parts, and the Edge Margin is reserved as a trim margin from the raw edge of the sheet; you enter both in mm for your own machine. If the kerf is entered smaller than the cutter diameter, the program uses the cutter diameter.

Any printer installed on Windows: a regular laser or inkjet printer for A4 label sheets, or a label printer for label rolls. You choose the label size from the template under General Settings › Label; there are ready layouts from 4 to 40 per A4 sheet, and 100 × 50, 80 × 50 and 60 × 40 mm for rolls.

The cut list comes out as Excel (.xlsx), CSV and XML, sheets as DXF, and the machine program as G-code, or CIX for Biesse. You can print lists, sheets and labels or save them as PDF; projects are saved to .mbz files.

We settle the invoice details with you before payment. Send us your billing details and what you need, and we will let you know based on your situation.
