What is moducut?

moducut is Windows software for furniture and kitchen workshops that takes you from drawing to CNC production.

Short answer

moducut is furniture production software where you draw kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes and TV units, and the same drawing produces the cut list, sheet layout (nesting), G-code, part labels, assembly sheets and cost analysis. It runs on Windows; the interface is in English.

Most design programs draw the kitchen and leave it there. moducut takes the drawing all the way to the machine: when a size changes the list updates itself, and the sheet layout is re-run with one click.

How does it work?

  1. Draw

Click in the library; the module snaps into place to size.

  2. Nest

Parts are laid out on the sheet with the least waste.

  3. Cut

G-code comes out with your machine profile, and the CNC cuts.

  4. Label

Barcoded labels for the parts, sheets for assembly.

What it doesn’t do

We tell you up front what we don’t promise.

  • It doesn’t run on Mac, tablets or phones; Windows only.
  • Curved edges are only possible on the front corners of a cabinet (left / right).
  • Separate projects are not combined into one cutting plan.

Frequently asked
questions

No. moducut is licensed with two plans: 1-Year Plan $299 per year, Lifetime Plan $1,249 one-time payment. Both plans have every feature; you can try it free for 7 days.

It writes G-code with your machine profile’s post settings; you set the profile up once for your machine. It also exports CIX for Biesse machining centers and DXF for CAM programs.

When you draw the furniture the cut list comes out on its own: each part’s cabinet, size, quantity, material and banded edges are on its row. You can export the list to Excel or get a PDF from the print window.
