Terms of Use

1. Parties and scope

These terms apply between moducut (“we”) and the people who use the website and the program (“you”). For license purchases, the Distance Sales Agreement, the Pre-Information Form and the Cancellation and Refunds terms also apply. Your personal data is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Notice and the Privacy Policy.

This English version is provided for convenience; if there is any difference, the Turkish version prevails.

2. Program and system requirements

moducut is desktop software for furniture workshops that combines drawing, cut lists, nesting, G-code, part labels, assembly templates, hardware lists and cost analysis in a single program. It runs only on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit); it does not run on Mac or mobile devices.

An internet connection is required when the program is first opened and at regular intervals to verify the license. Your projects are stored on your computer; we recommend backing them up regularly.

3. Free trial

You download the program by registering through the form on our website. On first launch, the program uses your personal setup code to start a 7-day free trial with all features. When the trial ends, you are not automatically moved to a paid license and no payment is taken from you.

The trial is bound to the computer on which the program is installed and is granted once per computer. Your setup code is personal to you; do not share it with others.

4. License

We offer two plans; both have all features unlocked, and the only difference is the license term:

• 1-Year Plan: the license is valid for one year; the expiry date is shown in the license information sent to you. You can renew before it expires.
• Lifetime Plan: a perpetual license; no yearly renewal is required.

When you purchase a license, you receive a license code and an activation code specific to that computer. The license grants the right to use the program on the single computer on which it is activated; a separate license is required for each computer. If you need to change your computer, please contact us.

The license grants a right of use under these terms, not ownership of the program. When the license term ends, your projects remain on your computer; the program locks until a new license is entered.

5. License verification

The license is bound to a machine ID generated from your computer’s hardware identifiers and is verified with our license server while the program is open. The program locks in the following cases:

• When the trial or license term expires.
• When the license cannot be verified over the internet for a long time.
• When the computer’s clock is set back.
• When the license is revoked or use on the computer is suspended by us.

If there is an attempt to circumvent the license protection, the codes are shared with others, or the program is used in breach of these terms, we may suspend the license on the computer concerned. The information the program sends for verification and support is listed in the Privacy Policy.

6. Rules of use

You must use the website and the program in compliance with the law and these terms. In particular, the following are not permitted:

• Copying, distributing or renting the program or the license and setup codes, or transferring them to others without our written consent.
• Attempting to circumvent or alter the license protection, the trial period or the machine ID.
• Reverse engineering or modifying the program (except where expressly permitted by law).
• Entering other people’s information in forms, reviews and feature requests without permission; submitting misleading, unlawful or promotional content.
• Placing excessive load on the website or the license server, submitting forms with automated tools, or attempting to bypass security measures.

7. Updates

When a new version is released, the program notifies you; you start the update yourself. The integrity of the downloaded file is verified before installation.

8. Support

Support in English is provided via WhatsApp, phone and e-mail; for setup and training, we can work together over a remote connection while viewing your screen.

During support, our team may request a diagnostic package or copies of your settings or project files from the program, and may send settings it has prepared for you to the program. How this works is described in the Privacy Policy.

If your project files contain personal data about your customers, you are the data controller of that data. We process it solely for the purpose of providing support to you and on your behalf.

9. Responsibility for production

The cut lists, nesting plans, G-code and labels moducut produces are based on the dimensions, material information and machine settings you enter. Before starting production, it is your responsibility to check the dimensions, machine profile, tools and outputs, and to take the necessary occupational safety measures on the machine.

Results from the free calculation tools on the website are approximate and for information only.

10. Intellectual property

The rights to the program, the website, its content, logo and brand elements belong to moducut or its licensors. The program includes open source components subject to their own licenses and public domain (CC0) textures.

You confirm that the reviews, stories and photos you send are your own or that you have the right to share them. When you give publication permission, we may publish this content on our website and social media accounts; we decide whether or not to publish any content.

11. Limitation of liability

We develop and test the program with care; however, we cannot guarantee that it will work without errors on every computer and in every situation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses of material, time or production, or for indirect damages, arising from outputs used without checking.

Our liability for intent and gross negligence, and your statutory rights as a consumer, remain unaffected.

12. Changes

We update these terms when necessary; the current version and its date are published on this page. A license you have purchased is subject to the agreement you accepted on the date of purchase.

13. Governing law and contact
