How does PVC edge banding appear in the cut list?
Cutting list and plan · Last updated:
Short answer
In the PVC column of the cut list, banded edges are written with the edge name and band thickness (mm), for example “Left 2 · Top 2”. A part with no banding shows a dash (—) in this column.
Step by step
- Open the Cut List with Production › “Cut” (Alt + F).
- On the “List” tab, look at the PVC column at the end of the row; it says which edge gets how many mm of banding.
- On the “Board” tab, the same information appears as “Band:” next to the cutting size and the finished size.
- To change banding, double-click the module; in design mode choose the edges to band on the “Options” › PVC tab.
- For individual parts, you can also turn edges on and off with the PVC 1–4 boxes in the Part List of Nesting Settings.
When you export to Excel, the PVC column comes with the same wording. “Export with Profile…” › Generic CSV gives the four edges in separate columns: PVC Top, PVC Right, PVC Bottom and PVC Left. Part labels also have a “Band:” line.
