Where do I set the passes for inner cuts?

Production and CNC · Last updated:

Short answer

From INNER CUT, under the Sizing section of Settings › “CNC Settings” › Cutting Settings. Choose With contour (two passes) or Without contour (single pass) for the Pass; with contour, enter the first and last pass in mm.

Step by step

  1. In the editor, open Settings › “CNC Settings” and go to Cutting Settings.
  2. Find the INNER CUT heading under the Sizing section.
  3. On the Pass row, choose With contour (two passes) or Without contour (single pass).
  4. With contour, type the “First pass (18 mm)” and “Last pass” values; the two are linked.
  5. The same setting also appears in Nesting Settings and the Cutting simulation; changing it in one changes the others.
With a contoured inner cut, the middle piece stays attached to the sheet until the last pass; the last pass runs at the end of the program, after the door is cut to size.
