How do I open a project on another computer?
Project files · Last updated:
Short answer
Save the project as an .mbz file with File › “Save”, move the file to the other computer and open it there with File › “Load”. The file also carries the project’s CNC setup and prices.
Step by step
- In the project, press File › “Save” (Ctrl + S) and save the .mbz file.
- Move the file to the other computer with a USB stick, email or a shared folder.
- Open moducut on the other computer; while in a project, press File › “Load” and choose the .mbz file.
- If you are on the start screen, drag and drop the file onto the file upload area in the “New Project” window, or press “Browse your files”.
To move your General Settings and your hinge, runner, handle and connector definitions too, export a file with Settings menu › “Export Settings” and load it on the other computer with “Import Settings”. The license must be active on the other computer as well.
