# Keyboard shortcuts

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Keyboard shortcuts let you run moducut commands with a single key combination without going to the ribbon. All shortcuts are listed on the Settings › Keyboard shortcuts page of the start screen and can be assigned to any key you like.

> **Short answer** The most used: Ctrl + S save, Ctrl + Z undo, Ctrl + L Library, Alt + F Cut List, Alt + W Nesting. To change shortcuts, open **Settings › Keyboard shortcuts** on the start screen.

## File

- **My Projects.** Alt + P
- **New Project.** Alt + N
- **Save.** Ctrl + S
- **Project Info.** Alt + I
- **Share Log.** Alt + J

Load Project has no default shortcut; you can assign a key if you like.

## Edit

- **Undo.** Ctrl + Z
- **Redo.** Ctrl + Shift + Z
- **Duplicate.** Ctrl + D
- **Delete.** Delete or Backspace
- **Deselect / cancel.** Esc; this key cannot be changed.

## Modules and room design

- **Library.** Ctrl + L
- **Draw Module.** Alt + M
- **L Corner.** Alt + L
- **45 Corner.** Alt + 4
- **Add Column.** Alt + K
- **Add Beam.** Alt + R
- **Auto Notch.** Alt + O
- **Crown / Light Strip.** Alt + T
- **Worktop.** Alt + Z
- **Bulk Edit.** Alt + B

Single Part Processing and Edit Room have no default shortcut.

## View

- **Magnet.** Alt + Shift + M
- **Dimensions.** Alt + D
- **Tape Measure.** Alt + E
- **X-Ray.** Alt + X
- **Connectors.** Alt + C
- **Open / Close Doors.** Alt + Q
- **Explode.** Alt + A, design mode only
- **Zoom in.** + or =
- **Zoom out.** -
- **Fit all.** Shift + 1
- **100% zoom.** Ctrl + 0
- **Focus on selected module.** H
- **Hide / show panels.** \ (backslash)

## Production

- **Cut List.** Alt + F
- **Door List.** Alt + G
- **Hardware List.** Alt + H
- **Nesting.** Alt + W
- **Cutting Simulation.** Alt + S

## Cutting simulation

While the simulation is open, editor shortcuts are silent and these keys work:

- **Play / Pause.** Space
- **Back to start.** Home
- **Previous operation.** Left arrow
- **Next operation.** Right arrow
- **Fit the sheet.** Shift + 1

## Design mode

- **Load.** Alt + O
- **Save (As) to Library.** Alt + Y
- **Update in Library.** Alt + G
- **Update Cabinet / Export to Project.** Alt + S
- **Cancel.** Alt + V
- **Hanging Rail.** Alt + U
- **Hide / show doors.** Alt + 1
- **Hide / show drawers.** Alt + 2

Because the design mode ribbon is never open at the same time as the room ribbon, some keys do different things in the two places; for example Alt + O is Auto Notch in the room and Load in design mode.

## Changing a shortcut

1. Open **Settings** on the start screen and choose **Keyboard shortcuts** in the Application group.
2. Click the row you want to change and press the new keys; Esc cancels.
3. If the key is used by another command, a warning appears: **Assign anyway** takes the key from that command and gives it to this one.
4. Press **Save**; the editor uses the new keys right away.

To return a row to its default, use the reset button on the row; for all of them, use **Reset all to defaults**.

> **Tip:** When you hover over a button on the ribbon, the tooltip shows its current shortcut; keys you change also show up in tooltips and menus.

## Frequently asked questions

### Why does a shortcut not work?

Shortcuts do not work while you are in a text field. Some commands’ shortcuts only work while their button is on screen; for example, design mode keys only apply in design mode. Editor shortcuts also do not work while the start screen or Settings is open.

### Can I reset the shortcuts I changed?

Yes. On the Keyboard shortcuts page, press Reset all to defaults, then Save.

### Can I assign the same key to two commands?

Not on the same screen; when you give the key to a second command, Assign anyway takes it from the first. On screens that are never open at the same time, such as the room editor and design mode, the same key can be bound to different commands.
