# Module Library

Last updated: October 25, 2026

The Module Library is the left panel where moducut’s ready cabinet modules, appliances and accessories are listed category by category; click a module and it is placed in the room. You also save the modules you design yourself to this panel.

> **Short answer** **Modules › Library** on the ribbon (Ctrl + L) opens and closes the Module Library panel. Open a category and click a module; the module is placed in the room.

## Categories

The panel has five ready categories: Base Cabinets, Wall Cabinets, Tall Cabinets, Wardrobe and General. Each category shows its module count in brackets. The search box at the top of the panel filters modules by name; matching categories open on their own while you search.

The ready modules include:

- **Kitchen base cabinets.** Single door, double door, two-, three- and four-drawer, two small and one large drawer, built-in oven, dishwasher and washing machine cabinets.
- **Kitchen wall cabinets.** Single door, double door, lift-up Aventos and bi-fold Aventos.
- **Tall cabinets.** Two doors, door with two drawers, single oven, microwave, and oven with two drawers.
- **Corner modules.** Wall left and right corner, wall left and right blind corner, left and right angled corner, base corner cabinet.
- **Wardrobe and bedroom.** Empty carcass, single- and double-door, inner- and outer-drawer modules; blind corner, angled corner, L and U returns; desk, bookcase, dressing table, nightstand and chest of drawers.
- **Bathroom.** Under-sink cabinet, tall bathroom cabinet and mirror cabinet.

Dummy Cabinet modules are drawn for display only and do not go to cutting; they are used to show where a cabinet made by another workshop will go.

## Appliances and accessories

Below the categories is the Appliances group: fridge, oven, microwave, hob, hood, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Each product is on its own row with its color options. Appliances take up space in the room like a carcass and can sit inside a cabinet.

The accessory groups are sink, faucet, inset sink, vessel sink, mirror, hob, extractor, backsplash and lighting. Accessories do not go to cutting. An accessory you add while a module is selected is placed relative to it: a sink on top of the module, a mirror on the wall above.

## Saving your own module

1. Open the module in design mode: double-click it, or right-click and choose **Edit**.
2. Press **Library › Add** on the design mode ribbon (Alt + Y).
3. In the Save to Library window, type the module name, choose the category and press **Save**.

If you edited a module that came from the library, two buttons appear in the Library group: **Update** (Alt + G) updates the library record to this version, and **Copy** adds the same module as a new record.

## Adding and deleting categories

- **New category.** Press **New Category** at the top of the panel, type the name and press **Add**.
- **Renaming.** Right-click the category and choose **Rename**.
- **Deleting.** Right-click the category and choose **Delete Category**; the modules in it move to the General category.

Ready categories cannot be renamed or deleted. You delete a module you saved yourself with the trash icon on its row; ready modules cannot be deleted.

> **Tip:** You can also keep a module as a file outside the library: in design mode, **File › Save** saves the module as a .cab file, and **Load** loads a .cab file in place of the open module.

## Frequently asked questions

### If I update a module in the library, do the modules in the room change too?

No. The library record is a template for later additions; modules you placed in the room keep their own settings. To change modules in the room together, use [Bulk edit](/en/docs/crown-worktop-and-bulk-edit/bulk-edit/).

### The library panel closed; how do I open it?

Press the Modules › Library button on the ribbon or Ctrl + L. You can change the panel width by dragging its right edge.

### Do accessories go into the cut list?

No. Accessories such as sinks, faucets, mirrors and lighting only appear in the scene. Appliances do not go to cutting either; cabinet modules with a carcass go into the list with their own parts.
