# Quote and price list

Last updated: October 25, 2026

The quote is the moducut view where the sheet, banding, hardware and labor quantities in the cut list are multiplied by your unit prices to calculate the price for the customer. Prices are stored with the project.

> **Short answer** Open **Settings › Price List**, or go to the **Quote** tab in the Cut List. Type the unit price for each row; the Total row updates on its own.

## The Quote tab

The quote has four groups:

- **Sheet.** Sheets of the same material and thickness are grouped in one item; you enter a price per sheet. Because the sheet count is an estimate that does not count waste, the row says approximate.
- **Band.** Banding meters by thickness and pattern; you enter a price per meter.
- **Hardware.** The count of each piece of hardware, such as hinges, runners and connectors; you enter a price per piece.
- **Labor.** The Module assembly row; its quantity is the number of modules in the project, and you enter a fee per module.

Hardware rows carry the same names as the items in the hardware list: Carcass connector, Hinge Ø35, Drawer runner (set), Handle, Gola profile and so on. Each row shows the quantity, unit and row amount; the Total is at the bottom.

## Entering prices

1. In the editor, open **Settings › Price List**. The Cut List window opens on the Quote tab.
2. Type the unit price into each row’s price box.
3. Items without a unit price are listed at the bottom under the "Unit price not entered" heading; complete them before sending the quote.

Prices are stored with the document: when the quote is opened months later, it is clear which prices it was given with. The Price List also opens from the Settings menu in design mode.

## Exporting the quote

- **CSV.** On the Quote tab, the CSV button saves the quote as a separate -teklif.csv file; the file has the Group, Item, Quantity, Unit, Unit price and Amount columns.
- **Export to Excel.** In the Excel file, the Quote is a separate sheet; it comes with the Cutting list and Assembly sheet pages.
- **Print.** Opens the cut list and assembly sheet as a printable page.

## Quote versus cost

The quote is the price given to the customer and is calculated with the rough sheet estimate from the cut list. To see the real consumption at the machine, use the [Consumption and Cost](/en/docs/cost-and-hardware/consumption-and-cost/) panel in Nesting Results after nesting; there, the sheet count is counted from the layout, and drilling and routing jobs from the shapes on the sheet. Comparing the two shows whether your quote covers the cost.

> **Tip:** When entering sheet prices, note that different thicknesses of the same material are separate rows; 18 mm and 8 mm boards are separate items.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I enter my own purchase prices?

Type your own price into the price box of each row on the Quote tab. The prices are saved with that project.

### How do I add a profit margin?

The quote has no separate profit rate field. You build your margin into the unit prices or the per-module labor fee.

### Why is the sheet count in the quote approximate?

The quote estimates the number of sheets from part area and does not count waste. The exact number of sheets is found with nesting; it appears on the Sheets Used card in the Sheet Summary of Nesting Results.
