# Adding a corner cabinet

Last updated: October 25, 2026

A corner cabinet is a module that sits in the corner where two walls meet and is built with an L-shaped or angled (45°) front. In moducut, corner cabinets are added with the L Corner and 45° Corner buttons on the ribbon and open directly in design mode.

> **Short answer** **Modules › L Corner** (Alt + L) on the ribbon adds a base corner cabinet and **45° Corner** (Alt + 4) adds an angled corner cabinet, opening the module in design mode. Set the door and shelves and press **Export**; if you back out, **Cancel** deletes the new module.

## L corner cabinet

1. Press **Modules › L Corner**. A square-footprint base corner cabinet is added and opens in design mode.
2. On the **Options › Dimensions** tab, enter the width, depth and the left side and right side sizes specific to the corner module.
3. In the Door tool, choose the opening style in the L corner door section: Double door — hinged left, Opens separately (each door on its own side) or Double door — hinged right. With a double door, the two doors are hinged to each other.
4. Press **Create Door**.
5. On the L corner row of the Shelf and Upright tools, apply the operation to the Left arm, Full L or Right arm.
6. Press **Project › Export** to add the module to the room.

L Corner and 45° Corner modules come with back panel and base defaults suited to corner cabinets; you can change them from the Back Panel and Plinth panels.

## 45° angled corner cabinet

**45° Corner** adds a corner cabinet with an angled front and opens it in design mode. In the Angled door section of the Door tool, choose whether the door Opens Left or Opens Right. You set the module’s dimensions on the Options › Dimensions tab, and its shelves and dividers with the tools on the rail.

## Corner modules in the library

Other corner solutions are ready in the Module Library: wall left and right corner, wall left and right blind corner with a narrow door, left and right angled corner and the base corner cabinet. On the wardrobe side there are blind corner, angled corner with a diagonal face, L return running along the wall, and U return closed on both sides.

## Fillers in the corner

A filler is used when a gap is needed between two modules meeting in the corner, or room for the doors to open. Right-click the module and add a filler on the side facing the corner with **Side Filler**, or put a strip with the Filler tool in design mode. The default strip width of the filler is on the General Settings › Filler page.

## Corner parts and nesting

L-shaped or angled parts in corner modules are laid out in their real shapes in CNC layouts. With guillotine methods, these parts are placed by their rectangular dimensions, and a warning appears in Nesting Results saying the inner corner must be finished on the CNC.

> **Tip:** After placing the corner cabinet, keep Magnet on while dragging the neighboring modules; they snap to the sides of the corner cabinet and line up.
